First generation of Yuuzan Sotetsu, otherwise known as Hachibei Housunan and has the go of Urushiou Kyuusai etc.

He trained his skill under lacquer artist Kichimonjiya and established his household during the Manji years. He was a talented and graceful man,

Died in the 8th year of Genroku at the age of 49.


The second Sotetsu was called Kyusai Sotetsu and had the go of Gentetsu. He was the child Yuuzan. Grudgingly, he

Died in the 3rd year of Houei at the height of his youth. He was also known as Hachibei "Early Death" Gentetsu.


The 3rd Sotetsu was called Urushioke Sotetsu and he had the sango of Urushiou Raku Baku and Yuusai.


He was the child of Kyuusai. At a young age he took over the household and worked hard to bring up the family name.
